Cefn Hoile is a technologies researcher, inventor and consultant, working in the Future Technologies Group of BT Labs at Adastral Park in the United Kingdom.

Cefn has a background in philosophy, nature-inspired computing, peer to peer computing, marketing and management.

He undertakes patent creation, exploitation and contract research in self-organising and autonomous systems, especially collaborative systems, decentralised computing and peer to peer.

This website is VERY OLD. Up to the minute stuff about Cefn can be found at the blog and older stuff here. In the end this site will be replaced by http://cefn.com/blog/ but there's a bunch of content which still needs to be transferred.

Visitors are also invited to take a look at various live projects which have a web presence such as the Hubbub Forum, Curiosity Collective or the Key Arts collaborative wiki space.

Personal interests include paragliding, hand-drumming, constructing weird heath robinson devices and collecting an infeasibly large collection of internetworked gadgets at The Spinney where I live.
