The pictures on these pages are either Local or Holiday pictures that do not appear in the walks.

Today are plans were to walk the Mawddach Estuary Trail into Barmouth. Once there we would decide on wether to catch a bus back to Dolgellau or to return along the same path. In the event we walked both there and back a total distance of approx 16.5 miles plus whatever we did having a look around Barmouth.

The path follows the track of an old railway line so is relatively flat. The path starts about 1 mile to the west of Dolgellau.

The day started a little overcast but dry.

Barmouth and the railway bridge which is also a footbridge (Toll)

Crossing the footbridge

The bridge is almost a mile in length

Looking back across. The steam is from the Fairbourne Steam Railway on the other side of the estuary

We are on the harbour breakwater now and looking to the bridge we just crossed

On the way back we saw this local fisherman looking for its supper
