The pictures on these pages are either Local or Holiday pictures that do not appear in the walks.

This walk was done whilst we were on a short break in an holiday cottage just outside Gunnerside in Swaledale. Unfortunately we were both absolutely full of cold for the whole period and apart from this day the weather was very poor. This walk took us from our cottage and followed the track of the River Swale towards Keld. From Keld we took a path over Kisdon towards Muker and then back along the river to Gunnerside.

Following the River Swale

Looking across the valley to Kisdon. The blue tint above the trees are bluebells.

As we walked along the valley it started to close in. This shows Swinner Gill to the right with Crackpot Hall on the left above the trees.

As we approached Swinner Gill the path started to rise above the river

Another fall near Keld

Can't remember where exactly I took this but it was after we left Keld so must be in the vicinty of Kisdon Force. Our path from Keld to Muker was part of the Pennine Way.

From Kisdon looking across the valley to Swinner Gill with Crackpot Hall on the far left.

Looking down into the valley. The path next to the river is the one we were on earlier

Starting to descend back to the valley

The path does a couple of large zig-zags as it drops down to Muker
