We awoke to a fine sunny morning and decided to have a trip out to Fort William taking in some views of Glen Coe and Loch Leven on our way. We did not drive the length of Glen Coe that would be saved for another day but we took the A828 to Ballachulish and then the A82 to the bottom of Glen Coe. From there we did a circuit of Loch Leven on the B863 before going to Fort William. After a look around and a bite to eat we drove up Glen Nevis to Achriabhach for a look around and a short walk.
The view from the chalet verandah in the morning
The day before had been Ediths choice so today I had my pick
My choice was a run out to Fort William with a peek into Glen Coe
It was a touristy day so we visited the Visitor Centre
Breathtaking views but I'm no munroist so don't ask for names
After leaving the Visitor Centre I decided to drive around Loch Leven on the way to Fort William. One of my better decisions.
Looking down Loch Leven from near Kinlochmore
Eventually we arrived at Fort William
After a look around and a bite to eat it was back in the car for the drive up Glen Nevis to Achriabhach
The coastal road back offered magical views
