When I had a walk along the River Lune a few days ago I took a picture of some stones near the Thirlmere aqueduct. I seem to recall reading somewhere that they were something to do with the selling of fish and I asked readers to let me know if they had any information. Anne Maguire a local lady although unable to help with my request sent me these interesting pictures of the "Fishstones" in the village of Caton nearby.
