The Pictures below were sent in by John Holland and are from a walk in Great Langdale on the 28th December 2008 where John was staying at the Achille Ratti Climbing Hut.
Great Langdale at 9:30am
The walk took them along the frosted southern side of the valley along the trcak of the Cumbria Way. Here we are looking across to Raw Head and Raw Pike.

The field in front of the New Dungeon Ghyll was bing used for car parking.

Now on the sunny side of the valley the return was along the bridleway between the ODG and NDG

A valley of two halves. The frozen south side and the sunny north.
