The pictures below were sent into me by Colin & Joan Ainsworth and come from a walk centered around the village of Downham near Clitheroe in the Ribble valley.
Nestling under the bulk of Pendle Hill, Downham is one of the loveliest villages in Lancashire, quiet and unspoiled with a gurgling brook running past the village green and stone-built cottages.
