23rd October 2009
After a morning of drizzle and low clouds a window in the weather appeared around noon and gave us the chance of a walk at the Crook O'Lune to see the autumnal colours. It was sunny when we arrived but within a few minutes it clouded over. Even the local duck population seemed to be intent on spoiling what reflections there were.
Looking along the Lune Valley but where's Ingleborough!
Caton Moor overlooks the village of Caton which we will visit later
There was a lot of flood water coming down the river which spoilt reflections
Can Dr Doolittle be losing her touch?
Following the river downstream and the ducks want to get in picture
The Crook O'Lune
Having persuaded the ducks to leave the river I got this poor reflection
From the river we walked along the road to Caton
The Fishstones and old oak
Info
