After doing a few consecutive walks my right knee started to give me a bit of gyp so for once I listened to the boss-lady and decided to give it a rest for a few days. I do have Osteo-Arthritis in the knee and have had problems before with it. My Rheumotologist told me to ask my my GP to refer me for an artificial knee but as yet I haven't bothered. Given a few days rest and a couple of painkillers it is usually OK. Anyway, sat at home bored I persuaded the boss-lady that a drive out to the Western Dales would be a good idea with maybe, seeing it was Valentines Day the option of lunch out.

This is my favourite view of Pen y ghent. Taken here from the Helwith Bridge to Austwick road.
