These pictures are from a walk we did on the 24th May 2004 whist on holiday in the Trossachs. It was a very rainy day so the first part of the walk is mostly missing. The walk was along the shores of Glen Finglas reservoir from near Brig O'Turk. On our way back we stopped off at the Queen Elizabeth Forest park visitor centre.
The day had started very wet with a promise of sun later. The early part of the walk was done in rain.
As we reached the end of the reservoir the weather did start to brighten
Taken at the head of the reservoir and looking back to where we had come from.
Looking back up the reservoir. Looking at the map I think the little island on the right is Tom an Fhaile but after so long I'm not 100%
Another guess but I think this is looking down the reservoir with the island of Toman Dubh with the small knobble of Tom Earraich to its right.
Looking down to the reservoir dam
It was a totally different day by the time we reached the foot of the reservoir
On the way back we stopped off at the visitor centre
Like most forest parks there were many well marked paths to follow.
The hillsides were blanketed in bluebells
Fantastic views to the south from the Visitor Centre
Perfick!...just perfick.
