The purpose of this section is to show various pictures from Cumbria which do not normally appear on our walks pages. They may have been taken on a day out or maybe on the way to or back from one of our walks or sent in by one of our readers. Either way I hope that you will enjoy them.
14th March 2008
After our walk from Elterwater we decided to return home via Coniston, not wanting to get caught up in the traffic jams of the A591. When we got to Coniston I parked up near the school and we had a short walk down to the Bluebird Cafe and through the village.
Coniston Old Man overlooks the village from Bannock Stone Bridge on Lake Road.
