The purpose of this section is to show various pictures from Cumbria which do not normally appear on our walks pages. They may have been taken on a day out or maybe on the way to or back from one of our walks or sent in by one of our readers. Either way I hope that you will enjoy them.
10th April 2008
Today, although the weather was none to bright we had a run out, first to Bowness and then to Fell Foot Park near Newby Bridge.
Looking along a Windermere towards Ambleside on a dull wet morning
We walked to Cockshott Point for a look across to Belle Isle
It looked a little brighter to the south.....but not much!
Looking across Windermere to the Ferry House
A bit of colour.....Cockshott Point
Looking towards Claife Heights
Ferry Nab
The Windermere ferry
The "Road Train"
A little brightness looking north from Bowness
The ever elegant MV Tern sets sail for Lakeside.....and we decide to go to Fell Foot Park near Newby Bridge
Looking across to Lake Side with Stott Park Heights behind
Walking towards the cafe with Gummer's How behind
Looking over to Lakeside
The MV Tern arrives at Lakeside
As I took the previous picture I heard the roar of the jet approaching from behind and just managed to catch it.
"Let's go to the cafe".....Home-made soup was delicous!
And finally ....Gummer's How from near the cafe
