The purpose of this section is to show various pictures from Cumbria which do not normally appear on our walks pages. They may have been taken on a day out or maybe on the way to or back from one of our walks or sent in by one of our readers. Either way I hope that you will enjoy them.

Ennerdale Mornings
Each morning sometimes in the company of Edith I walked from our cottage down the lane as far as Hunter How and back. It was only a short stroll of about 1.5 miles or thereabouts but each morning the Ennerdale valley and fells , when you could see them looked different. Here are a few of the pictures I took.
Sunday
The cloud topped Crag Fell
Great Borne under cloud.
Owl Barn

Monday
When I first saw this view it really knocked me out. Pillar Rock is just visible on the fellside in the distance
Great Borne however was cloud free
Bank End. The barn conversion as been going on for quite some time I believe.

Tuesday
Great Borne over Bank End
Pillar and Pillar Rock, Scoat Fell and Steeple in close up.
Not sure what this place was called. It was located just next to Hunter How.
Hawes Farm with the Owl Barn to the left.
These bantams came for feeding every day morning and afternoon.
And these chappies were just nosey!
