After a few days of resting the broken toe in which I have managed to upload most of our photographs taken on previous holidays in Scotland, Wales and on the east coast I decided to give it a try. I was going to leave it till tomorrow but the mornings rain passed quickly over leaving a virtually cloud free sky although there was a good breeze. The walk had to be in our local area because of the time so once a gain it was off to Arnside & Silverdale.
Having left the car at Crag Foot we made our way up Warton Crag to gain access to the Nature Reserve.
Our entry point to the nature reserve
Warton Crag summit complete with beacon and trig point
Looking over to Arnside Knott with the Coniston Fells behind
Looking down to Jenny Browns point with Grange over sands behind.
From Warton Crag we made our way to Leighton Hall. As we entered the grounds I got this picture of an old limestone kiln.

Having walked down to Leighton Hall we made our way across Leighton Moss catching sight of this reed cutter on the way
Leighton Moss
From Leighton Moss we made our way to Eaves Wood along a lane called The Row. As we walked along we passed the Silverdale Golf Club.
Eaves Wood from The Row
We walked through Eaves Wood to the Pepper Pot
From the Pepper Pot we descended to the campsite for this picture of Arnside Knott
We then headed back via Siverdale and Jenny Browns point diverting into Jack Scout on the way to the Lime Kiln
and of course The Giants seat
Nearly back now and time to get this picture of the smelting tower at Jenny Browns point
The final picture , looking across the salt marsh to Warton Crag.
