Another dull, murky day with the threat of a shower made the choice for todays short walk difficult. Eventually we decided on a short walk along the Lancaster Canal at Hest Bank. Since the towpath as been relaid for pedestrian and cyclist use it as become a popular walk in the area. Today however, apart from the dog walkers there were few people about.
I'm not aware that this bridge near Hest Bank as a name.
But with its covering of plant life (see how I avoid naming things) it always looks nice
Sorry!....If I'd known we were coming here I'd have brought some bread
A few reflections in the water even though there was a bit of a breeze
Looking back to Hest Bank
On our way back to Rakes Head Bridge
Some moorings near Hest Bank. I think some of these boats are lived on permanently.
Back at Hest Bank we decided to walk the other way for a short while. We passed the Hest Bank Hotel on the opposite bank along the way
Unfortunately before we had gone to far it started to rain
On our way back to the car.
