4th March 2009

My right knee was giving me a bit of trouble today so all we managed was a walk around Williamson Park at Lancaster. The Park overlooks the City of Lancaster and commands magnificent views across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Fells.

For more information on the park and its facilities please click HERE. It will open in a new page.

"Reflections in a muddy pool"

The Ashton Memorial

The Temple Shelter sits atop this rocky lichen covered outcrop.

The Butterfly House

The cafe and time for a sit down.

As we had our tea and scone we were entertained by a couple of these little chappies.

After the cafe we went into the Butterfly House.

Usually in here it is so humid that the camera lens is forever misting over. Today however it was OK.

This chappie was between 7" - 8" from one wingtip to the other.

Outside now and another sign that Spring isn't that far away.

Inside the animal garden now and in with the birds.

"Wonder why she's getting all the attention"...."I don't look that bad....do I?"

Looking over Lancaster towards Grange with the Coniston Fells behind.

Reflections as we take our leave.
