It was a very dull morning and we had not planned to do any walking today mainly because there was a multitude of sport on the box including the British Grand Prix, Tour de France and the World Cup Final. However we did have to go into town to pick up a birthday present for one of our granddaughters. We decided to leave the car near the West End of town and walk along the promenade. Here are a few pictures I took along the way.
The Kite-Surfers and sailboarders were enjoying the breezy conditions near the Battery.
The guy on the left wasn't jumping the groyne, it just looks that way.

After a spell of fine weather most people are wrapped up today.
We had just missed the RNLI Hovercraft on a practise run.
