28th July 2011
After dropping Edith off early at her brothers I decided to have a walk down to Heysham Harbour.
Looking across the harbour entrance to the old South Breakwater.
The Power Stations loom large over the harbour.
Looking into the harbour directly into the sun there are two vessels which will be sailing shortly.
I've never seen this vessel before. She is the MS Cathrin owned by a Danish company and probably used to transport personnel offshore.
This vessel was working in the harbour near the Power Station Cooling Water inlet.
At last there is movement in the harbour.
The MV Clipper Point passes through the harbour entrance...
....on her way to Ireland.
She'll have a smooth crossing today.
"Left hand down a bit!"
And away she goes.
One of the Stenna Line vessels on it's way to Belfast.
Looking to the Barrows as I walk home.
