The purpose of this section is to show various pictures from Cumbria which do not normally appear on our walks pages. They may have been taken on a day out or maybe on the way to or back from one of our walks or sent in by one of our readers. Either way I hope that you will enjoy them.
The first three pictures in this suite were sent to me once again by Colin & Joan Ainsworth and were taken in July 2007 when they walked from Stonethwaite to Watendlath. The remaining four are our pictures, previously unpublished taken on Walk No.22 on the 26th March 2007.

Colin & Joan asked if I could identify this Orchid. I've no idea but somebody may be able to let me know.
I am told it is a Heath Spotted Orchid.....Thank you Sue from the OFC
