Weather: A fine day with the cloud above the tops.
We left the car near Church Bridge at Troutbeck and took the bridleway up the eastern side of the valley.
Tiny Troutbeck Tongue lays in the centre of the valley surrounded by the higher fells.
From our path up the valley, looking down onto Limefitt Park.
Long Green Head farm. We followed the track to the far end of Troutbeck Tongue to gain its ridge from there.
We are now at the northern end of the Tongue looking towards Threshthwaite Mouth.From here it was a just a case of following the ridge south to the summit.

Troutbeck Park farm. From here we followed a track (Ing Lane) down the valley to Town Head from where it was a short walk down the A592 back to the car.
