Dollywaggon Pike, Nethermost Pike, Helvellyn, White Side and Raise

Weather: A fine and sunny spring day
Route: We left the car in a lay by at Patterdale and walked down the road To Grisedale Bridge from where we walked up a minor road to access the fells.

The Brother's Parting Stone for those interested in the works of Wordsworth. From here it was just a short distance to Grisedale Tarn where we would take the Zig-Zag path up onto Dollywaggon PIke
Grisedale Tarn. The dip at the far side is Grisedale Hause. From there paths lead either to Fairfield (l), Seat Sandal (r) or straight ahead down to Grasmere.

Our route would follow the path to the right to Lower Man. The path to the left descends into Thirlmere. From Lower Man we would descend at first before rising to White Side.
From Lower Man looking down Brown Cove into Keppel Cove. The zig-zag path you can see would be our way down later in the day.
