Harrison Stickle from Pike O' Stickle. From Pike O' Stickle we made our way across Martcrag Moor trying to avoid the wet ground as best we could to make our way to the summit of the Stake Pass
Our way took us across Martcrag Moor to the top of the Stake Pass which is near to the patch of water you can see in the shadow in the centre of this picture. We would then follow the ridge going left to Rossett Pike
Rossett Pike is seen here in the centre foreground . Behind are Esk Pike and Great End
Looking down into Langstrath with Sergeant's Crag to the right. The Scafells are in the distance
We are nearing the top of the Stake Pass now, the path to Rossett Pike can be seen going off to the left from just past the water
Nearin Rossett Pike and looking at the magnificent Bowfell showing the Great Slab and Cambridge Crag.

Looking down Mickleden from Rossett Pike. From the summit we made our way down towards Angle Tarn and then taking the path down Rossett Gill to the valley below.
The path we took down to the valley is on the left.
Nearly down into the valley bottom now
The sheepfold at the top of Mickleden. From here it is about 1.75 miles down the valley to the Old Dungeon Ghyll. It was quite warm by now and I was imagining a nice old pint.
Looking back to Rossett Pike on the right
Looking up South Scree gully from the valley
The Old Dungeon Ghyll.....never was a pint more welcome
