Route:  Eaves Wood - Far Waterslack - Middlebarrow Quarry - Arnside - Arnside Knott - Eaves Wood

Just a quick walk today and back in time to pick up the two eldest granddaughters from school. A bit of a gray, murky day but with just enough visibility to get some half decent pictures.

We left the car at Eaves Wood and took a path to Far Waterslack. We wanted to have a look in the disused Middlebarrow Quarry shown here.

Walking through Far Waterslack.

From the quarry our route took us across field paths to Arnside. Looking across to Arnside Knott which we would climb later from the other side.

A rather grey Arnside

October/November is the best time for fishing at Arnside but it's only for Flounders.

From the shore we took a path upwards to the Knott and met up with these chappies along the way
