Wainwright summits: Sallows and Sour Howes

Weather: A lovely fine and sunny day.
We left the car near Church bridge at Troutbeck.
From Troutbeck we took a path leading to the Garburn Pass. Looking up the valley with Troutbeck Tongue in the centre.
The path made for easy walking, never steep although a little rough in places.
As we climbed higher up the path Windermere cme into view.
Troutbeck in the valley with the Coniston fells in the distance.
Nearly at the top of the Garburn Pass now and looking across to Red Screes.

Looking across the top of the Garburn Pass from Sallows towards Yoke with Caudale Moor to the left.
From Sallows we followed a path round to Sour Howes. Windermere from the path.

Walking back to the Garburn Pass a view along the western leg of the Kentmere Horseshoe with Yoke, Ill Bell, Froswick and Thornthwaite Crag.
Descending to Troutbeck with the Coniston fells in the distance.
