Weather:                   A fine and sunny day.

We parked the car on the roadside near Stoneycroft in the Newlands Valley and walked up an old mine track that followed Stoneycroft Gill.

The path follows Stoneycroft Gill.Our first first summit, Outerside, is in the middle distance.

We followed the track to this point at High Moss. Our path to Outerside lays just behind and to the right. This path continues to the ridge between Scar Crags and Sail. Sail and Crag Hill are the highest points you see.

and finally our destination, Outerside which was just an easy stroll away.

Our path lay ahead to Barrow which is the furthest one.

Braithwaite and Coledale Beck. Our way back to the car followed this beck then the Newlands beck back to Stair.
