We left the car on the Skelwith Bridge to Coniston road about 1 mile from Skelwith Bridge.

Having walked back towards Skelwith Bridge for about 200 yards we accessed the fellside on a bridleway next to this house.

The bridleway heads S'ly in the direction of Tarn Hows, but we would make a diversion to Black Crag before then.

Dark clouds over Lingmoor and the Langdale Pikes but the rain missed us fortunately.

Wetherlam taken from the same place.

Taken from further along the bridleway looking back along our route. Just past this spot we turned off the bridleway to go to Black Crag.
