Weather: Well broken clouds above the tops with plenty of sunny spells.
We left the car at Miller Bridge in Ambleside and accessed the fells by way of Nook End farm and Low Sweden Bridge.
The circuit of these eight summits are know as the "Fairfield Horseshoe" . This picture taken from Rothay Park in Ambleside shows the shape of the horseshoe at it's best.
