We left the car at Dockray near the bridge. The path onto the fells started by the shed on the other side of the road.
Looking back to Dockray from our path.
The path followed this wall rising steadily above Glencoyne Park.
Looking down onto a very hazy Ullswater with Hallin Fell in the distance
The path continued along the wall until it was crossed by a wall running up to Birkett Fell which we followed
Looking across towards Glenridding Dodd

Stybarrow Dodd
Stybarrow Dodd. From here we had a choice of either carrying on over the Dodds back to Dockray or to lose height to regain the views. As the purpose of our walks is to get pictures for memories we decided on the latter and headed down to the top of the Sticks pass.
From Sticks Pass we followed the path down Sticks Gill. As we lost height the views reappeared.
We stopped here for a break and something to eat. It is a desolate scene left over from quarries. From here we took a path to Sheffield Pike
Sheffield Pike summit
Ullswater from Sheffield Pike From here we took a path along the summit ridge towards Glenridding Dodd
Taken from near Heron Pike looking down on Glenridding Dodd and the village.
