Route: | Arnside - New Barns - Arnside Knott - Arnside |
Another short walk today but with a little bit of climbing. I left the car at Arnside near the railway station and made my way along the promenade and then the shore to New Barns . From there I took a path through Copridding Wood to the top of the Knott. After a walk around the top I descended to Red Hills and back into Arnside. The day was very dull with some hazy cloud in the valleys so the pictures aren't that good.
Walking along Arnside promenade.
A train crosses the viaduct on its way to Barrow
It was a very grey, hazy morning making photography difficult
At the end of the promenade I took the beach path to New Barns seen in the distance
Looking across to New Barns. My path would go to the left and through Copridding Wood.

The path through Copridding Wood. It was so dull at this point that the flash was needed
