I was by myself today as Edith had a bit of a stomach bug kindly given to her by one of the granddaughters. I didn't want to do too much as I am hoping to get up to the Lakes tomorrow and also I wanted to be back to watch the Australian Grand Prix.

Arnside Tower and farm from the roadside car park.

Whitbarrow and the Levens estuary from my route up the Knott.

My next section of the walk was done across the beach.

Arnside Knott from the beach

Ancient drawings uncovered by the shifting tides?.........I was missing Ediths steadying influence at this point!

Approaching Park Point and White Creek it was time to leave the beach and use the cliff top path. A natural stairway makes getting up there easy.

The narrow cliff top path to Far Arnside

Daffodils at Far Arnside

Far Arnside

Nearly back. Arnside Knott and Tower farm

And finally......back at the car and a close up of Ingleborough (17.5 mls)
