We haven't stood on Nicky Nook for about 15 years so with it being a Bank Holiday and not wanting to get caught up in the Lake District fraffic we decided on the short journey to Scorton.
The Priory at Scorton. The vilage does not have an Inn but The Priory Inn which is actually a guest house, restaurant, tea room and as a public bar is a good place to visit.
Our route to Nicky Nook took us over the M6 which seemed particularly quiet for a Bank Holiday
We met up with this colourful chappie on our way
