I was by myself today and my original intention had been to have a walk along the Kendal Scars. However as I headed N'wards it was plain to see that any views from the Scars would be few and far between due to the very hazy weather. I therefore stopped off at Levens Bridge to do this walk.
Please remember to sign the petition to give V.A.T Exemption to the Mountain Rescue Service. There is a link on the Homepage or do it right now by clicking HERE it will open in a new page. It will only take a minute or two.

All the area that I am walking on was under a few feet of water earlier in the year. The old tree is a reminder of that.
Today it was so peaceful as I made my way along the side of the river up its western bank.
The black fallow deer that the park is known for are usually in this area. Today however they must have been in the woods as I never saw them.

This is where I leave the park to take the public footpath to Park Head.
