I had been to my GP earlier to have my first "test" gold injection. This is just a small dose after which I had to stay at the surgery for 30 minutes to see if there was any major adverse reaction. Im mid-afternoon we decided to have this short walk around the village.
We left the car at Half Moon Bay and set off towards the Barrows.
Crossing what was the old Heysham Head site and then the Go-Kart track.
It was a beautiful afternoon but no distant views due to the haze.
Approaching the Barrows.
A look up the Barrows towards Chapel Wood.
St Patricks' Chapel and the Stone graves.
Edith at the Chapel
The Crocuses and Daffodils in Chapel Wood are now in full bloom and the Bluebells won't be far away.
I'm not sure what this rock is meant to be. The hole in the top is man-made. Any locals know?
Edith takes five at the rock seat/shelter.
St Peters' Church.
And again with vicar.
Main Street, Heysham Village
New artwork on the Institute wall. Most of the things shown are easily recognisable but I'm not sure about the lady.
Well, It would be a shame to pass it by.
The village square.
Taken directly into the sun as we walked back down to the car at Half Moon Bay.
