Afternoon a morning of showers the afternoon brightened somewhat and we decided to nip round to Arnside for walk along the shore and up the Knott. Apart from a brief (5 minute) light shower the afternoon stayed fine with plenty of sun and we enjoyed good views from the Knott. On our way off the Knott we came across a few youngsters which I think you will agree were an absolute delight and who we will certainly be going to see again.

*** Please note that because I am so far behind with updating the website despite my best efforts there are few picture details on this report. As this is one of our regular walks most readers will be well aware of what they are seeing. For any new viewers the walk basically follows the River Kent downstream to New Barns and then climbs upwards onto Arnside Knott for views to Lakeland. Picture details will return on the next report......hope you understand......Dave ***
