*** Another walk that needs to few explanation to the pictures. I had an hospital appointment later in the day but didn't want to waste such a beautiful morning so we decided to have a walk around Sunderland Point and check that Sambo's Grave was tidy. To relieve boredom the walk was done in the opposite direction to that we usually do. ***
First Terrace.
Road between First & Second Terrace.
Second Terrace
Second Terrace
Looking back as we reach the point.
The badly eroded Sunderland Point.
Acres of salt marsh.
Arriving at Sambo's Grave
Looking towards the Fylde coast
When we arrived home Edith's newest addition to the family was waiting for her. "Lucky" a ringed pigeon appeared in our garden about 3 weeks ago looking a little worse for wear. Edith as been feeding it regularly and now it flies to her. Meanwhile I have put the ring details on a couple of pigeon forums but with no luck. A day or two after this picture "Lucky" was seen doing what comes naturally in springtime and a while later stopped coming. At the time of going to press there as been no return.....It'll just be my luck for it to turn up with a few young ones.
Next Walk: 11th May 2011 - South Cumbria - Haverbrack & Beetham Fell
Last Walk: 8th May 2011 - Arnside & Silverdale - New friends on Arnside Knott
