---------------------------------------------------------------

Shortly after our last walk I started getting a few aches and pains in various joints which indicates usually that I am having a bit of a "flare up" with the Rheumatoid Arthritis. Normally the main joints affected are my elbows and wrists but this time I was having problems with my feet. With this going on I didn't want to push things too much so we settled for this walk along the canal and through a local bluebell wood.

Route.

It was a glorious morning as we set off from Tewitfield which due to culverting is now the end of the navigable section of the Lancaster Canal.

A look across at the new marina at Tewitfield.

Looking over the M6.

Lots of bluebells along the banks of the canal and looking good.

A few slightly fuzzy reflections.

A family outing on the canal. It was hard to get a picture because of the sun.

Looking over to Warton Crag.

This is a lovely section of the canal to walk along.

Bankside Bluebells...

....and Cowslips.

Canal side residencies at Borwick.

More ducklings!!

And Goslings!!

We are getting near to where we leave the canal at Capernwray to walk through the woods on the opposite side.

Railway viaduct over the River Keer.

We shall cross the canal at the bridge ahead...

....to take the lane to the Caravan Park..

There is a public footpath through the woods...

....which have a decent show of bluebells...

The footpath leads up through the woods to cross the fields...

....and leads out onto the road where a left turn....

....will take you down past Borwick Hall...

...and back to the canal for a return. Now here's a test in observation. Can you spot anything unusual in this picture?....If so...well done. If not....worry ye not....there will be a second chance.

2nd Observation test and you should really get it now.

3rd Observation test and if you still don't see it.....then I recommend Specsavers!!   ;-)

Here's the answer!

Bluebells.

Back at the marina.

That's all folks!!!
