We just had time to fit this short local walk in today. It will be very familiar to many viewers but remains one of our favourite local walks and this could be the last time you see it.

Looking back over the tidal road towards Overton. The tides are low at the moment so the road will remain open but please check the tide times before visiting.

It's not a bad sort of day as we make our way towards First Terrace.

Looking up the River Lune towards Overton and Bazil Point.

First Terrace.

One of my favourite viewpoints, looking towards Second Terrace. From here we will take The Lane to my right leading to the West Shore.

There are a few private residencies at the start of the lane...

...but it soon  gives way to a narrow path with views across the fields...

....Chirpy-chirpy Cheep-cheep!

Soon we were on the West Shore and a few yards in the other direction....

....took us to the resting place of....

Leaving the grave we carried on towards the point with Plover Scar lighthouse ahead.

Looking over the fields towards Second Terrace

A look back as we reach the point...

....and ahead. The ground gets a little rougher now.

Looking past the eroded fields towards the river...

...and back towards to sea.

With the neap tides the shore is drier and we are able to avoid the rougher path higher up.

Looking over the River Lune towards Glasson with Clougha Pike behind.

Approaching Second Terrace.

The road to First Terrace is along the top of the beach.

If I remember right the yellow boat usually fishes from Morecambe during the summer.

We walked past the car to see the boats in what appears to be an old boat graveyard. However they may be someone's pride & joy or "project" so best not say too much  ;-)

Still for sale!

I hope she's not saying "how about this one?"
